Interview Question 2:Working of Marine exhaust turbocharger

 marine exhaust turbocharger is always a favorite question in the interview so let us talk about this,

marine exhaust turbocharger is a heat energy recovery device of  exhaust gases which increases the overall volumetric efficiency

we use the kinetic energy of exhaust gases we have a exhaust manifold were we all collect the exhaust gases at the end of exhaust stroke from exhaust valve with the high velocity the gases will imping on the turbine and it will start rotating as it start rotating it transfer power to the shaft on the same shaft we have compressor. it function is to draw a air and compressed it.

 we also have intercooler over there to decrease the temperature of the air at the constant pressure.
